Sophia Hylen serves as a coach for Danville Volleyball Club, leading instruction across the DVC Minis program, Junior divisions, and specialized skills clinics. A Class of 2027 graduate, Sophia balances her coaching duties with an active career as a dual-sport varsity athlete at Carondelet High School (Concord, CA), where she competes on both the indoor and beach volleyball teams. Having advanced through the competitive pipeline of Red Rock Volleyball Club, she utilizes her first-hand experience in elite junior volleyball to deliver technical, structured, and actionable training to developing athletes.

At Danville Volleyball Club, Sophia bridges the gap between high-level youth playing experience and foundational athlete development. Her coaching relies heavily on her advanced understanding of the game, allowing her to translate how to build a strong foundation for success as players continue in their career. She is also a joyful coach who believes in having fun!

• CIF North Coast Section Leaderboard Rankings: Ranks #32 overall in total digs (159 digs) across the entire CIF North Coast Section leaderboard.
• Division & Regional Rankings: Holds the #4 rank in the East Bay and the #10 rank in Division 2 for defensive metrics.
• National Beach Circuit Success: A seasoned sand player and multi-year competitor on the national beach volleyball circuit, consistently medaling in national sand competitions across the country.
• Club Pedigree: Competed at the premier indoor club level with Red Rock Volleyball Club, gaining extensive experience in open-level tournament play and elite technical training systems.
